Kit Allen, Product Development Manager

What gear helps you work best remotely?

For remote work, my input devices are the most important thing. Specifically, I have my webcam (Logitech C922 Pro), wireless headset (Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless), and, most importantly, my keyboard (custom-built ortholinear keyboard). My advice for people who are working remotely and type a lot – invest in a good keyboard, it’s your main point of contact with the world!!

When it comes to time management and remote communication, what software is most vital to you?

Choosing one is difficult, but I’d have to say Discord. It creates a casual environment to speak with my team, with a really nice, simple user interface.

What are your favorite snacks to have on hand throughout the day?

I’m not much of a snacker. Unless coffee counts as a snack?

Dominic Banguis, CMO

What gear helps you work best remotely?

Having 2 additional screens to view all the analytics and marketing dashboards. Also a mechanical keyboard – I like the old school feel of typing and much more durable.  Good headphones and mic are especially useful in a video call. Having power banks and UPS onhand in case of power interruptions to maintain 24/7 productivity. Always have back up gear. ( 2 is one, one is none!)

When it comes to time management and remote communication, what software is most vital to you?

I use World Time Buddy. It helps me keep track of timezones when scheduling calls with my remote team.

And of course, Kalysys (We create the software – we’d love to use)

What are your favorite snacks to have on hand throughout the day?

Coffee or Coke, and Nachos.

Hopefully, we’re able to provide inspiration and direction for your own remote working setups. Still, a lot more to come – Part 2 of Kalysys Remote Office Tours
